Privacy

Sthira Me keeps your practice private. The app is designed so that the information that matters most — your sessions, streaks, body state and profile — never leaves your device unless you choose to share it.

What stays on your device

Session history, streak count, body check-in responses, caution areas, health-condition selections and onboarding choices are stored locally using Apple's built-in storage on your iPhone. They are not transmitted to us.

What we do not do, in the app

The Sthira Me app does not contain the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or any third-party advertising SDK. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. When optional in-app analytics arrive in a later version, they will be opt-in and anonymous.

What we track on sthira.me

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and PostHog to understand how visitors use this website. Cloudflare uses no cookies. PostHog uses a first-party cookie scoped to sthira.me only — it does not track you across other websites. Autocapture and session recording are switched off.

We also use the Meta Pixel on sthira.me to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to build audiences for future campaigns on Instagram and Facebook. The pixel sets a third-party cookie and sends page-visit data to Meta. You can decline this via the cookie banner when you first visit — choose Essentials only and the Meta Pixel never loads. Declining does not affect your ability to join the waitlist or use the site.

If you accept all cookies, the Meta Pixel also fires conversion events when you visit a practice or programme page (“ViewContent”), submit the waitlist form (“Lead”), submit a suggestion via /suggest (also “Lead”, tagged as a suggestion), tap a body-checkin zone, or share via the /share page. Where the event involves your email address, we send Meta a one-way SHA-256 hash of your lowercased email so that future server-side conversion events can be matched without exposing the address itself. Declining cookies via Essentials only means none of these events fire.

HealthKit

If you grant HealthKit access, reads (steps, heart rate, sleep analysis, mindful minutes) stay on your device. Writing sessions back to HealthKit as Mindful Minutes or Workouts is optional and requires separate permission.

Waitlist

If you join our waitlist, we collect only your email address (and an optional first name), held by our email provider (Kit) under their own privacy policy. We use it to send you three kinds of messages, and only these:

  1. Your 5-Day Desk Reset PDF on signup, to begin.
  2. A short, occasional email when you cross a referral milestone in our share programme (typically at 1, 3, 5, 10, and 25 shares) — each delivers the reward you've unlocked, e.g. a printable practice guide, a library access link, or a founder-priced trial code. You won't receive these if you don't share.
  3. One email the day Sthira Me opens its doors on the App Store.

Beyond these three, we don't email you. If you submit a suggestion via /suggest, we also send a one-line thank-you on submit and a follow-up if your suggestion ships — nothing in between. You can unsubscribe at any time from the footer of any email we send, and the unsubscribe takes effect immediately.

Data controller and regulator

The data controller for personal data collected via this site and our forthcoming app is Sthira Me Limited (registered in England & Wales, company number 17167227; registered office: London, UK).

We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under data protection registration number ZC137409. If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Contact

If you have a question about how we handle data, drop a note via our suggestion form — same humans answer. Once the app ships, you can also shake your phone in-app to open the support channel directly.

This page is the working Privacy Policy during development. A full policy will be published here before the app is listed on the App Store.
